The world has been trying to stop or silence the truth about our Risen Savior for more then 2000 years. It really hits me in the face this time of year with politically correct holiday greetings and or arguments over the display of Christmas trees in airport, schools, businesses etc… This is not a new tactic; in the following passage King Herod tried to silence the Lord.

Matt 2:7-15 NKJV
7 Then Herod, when he had secretly called the wise men, determined from them what time the star appeared. 8 And he sent them to Bethlehem and said, "Go and search diligently for the young Child, and when you have found Him, bring back word to me, that I may come and worship Him also." 9 When they heard the king, they departed; and behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came and stood over where the young Child was. 10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. 11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. 12 Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.
13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, "Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him." 14 When he arose, he took the young Child and His mother by night and departed for Egypt, 15 and was there until the death of Herod, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying, "Out of Egypt I called My Son."

Oh, then the world attempted to kill the proclamation that our Lord had risen from the dead and ultimately kill Christianity.

Matt 28:11-15 NKJV
11 Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened. 12 When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, 13 saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.' 14 "And if this comes to the governor's ears, we will appease him and make you secure." 15 So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

The message cannot and will not be silenced Jesus has risen and to that I say have a very Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas

Rory, I got an email a few days ago, you know the annoying kind that have been forwarded 1,000 times and then threaten a curse if you don't forward it:) Anyhow, this was a good one. They suggested that rather than everyone be upset by public removal of nativity or sentiments of faith...every beliver in every neighborhood, town, city, and state all across this land should display a Nativity and/or a cross in the yards or on their homes this Christmas. Let's put out our faith on display and tell the world the reason.
