Sensational Testimony:

Can you expect to overcome the areas of weakness or sin in your life this side of Heaven. Or does GOD only deliver those with sensational testimonies like murderers, wife beaters etc. Are you destined to be a slave to the lust in your life? I don’t believe we have to be bondservants to the whims of our sinful imaginations or lust any longer. My testimony is much the same as yours; I was a walking dead man. Dead in transgressions and Sins; and I can assure you there is nothing sensational about that because a dead man cannot save himself or even help himself--pretty much puts me in the camp of total reliance on the cross, burial, and resurrection of Christ.

Eph 2:1-6
2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
NKJV

Rev 12:10-12
10 Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, "Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time."
NKJV

There is nothing in this scripture that indicates I am an over comer by my own volition, no the testimony here is all about the blood of Christ and my testimony is a result of what he accomplished on the cross.
